The flat trigger wouldn’t be absolutely necessary, but would definitely get points for looking cool! Probably trade the standard P320 in on the X Compact. The FCU on the X Series has a completely different feel. Heck, the entire gun has an entirely different feel from the standard. Like it has been more finely tuned.
The xcarry is slightly larger than the xcompact. 3.9" barrel vs 3.6". The xcarry uses 17 round magazines whereas the xcompact uses 15 round magazines. The ergonomics of the grips are similar, but the xcompact is slightly thinner in some areas. You are definitely getting more with either one compared to the standard.Also, if you're interested in a compact-size P320, I'd recommend the X-Compact Pro, if you can find one and aren't ready for the optic (RXP). The Pro doesn't have the rear sights on the removable plate which will allow you to install sights to cowitness with the optic if/when you decide to do that. I owned an X-Carry and now have the X-Compact. Both are excellent handguns but I personally favor the X-Compact mostly due to the redesigned grip module.
