The Russians never blued their bolt carriers, but did paint them black during the refurbishment process. The Chinese did blue some of their bolts from the factory, so those are floating around (Desert Fox Sales used to sell them). But the Russians never did. A black bolt in a Russian SKS is always painted, never blued.
